On Site
On-Site is a high-impact, carefully choreographed piece of dance theatre created by Grace Capewell. Set on a building site, the play follows construction workers played by skilled stuntmen and acrobats, navigating the complexities of male identity. On-Site captures the essence of performance within the mundanity of the everyday, where buried emotions of overlooked characters take the form of gravity defying stunts. Exploring contrasting themes of addiction, mental illness, brotherhood and community.
Cemented within the sequence of movement is live music from Bruno and The Outrageous Methods of Presentation.
Test
Test is a dynamic performance exploring the intersection of dance, innovation, and experimentation. Created by Grace Capewell, this performance plays a role in the development of a unique concept—crafting tap shoes with flint attached to the soles, so that the dancer’s movements create sparks with every step. The performance took place at The Platform Theatre as part of a series of scratch performances, offering a raw, unpolished glimpse into the creative process.
